The all new mobile relay builder is here. A powerful new way to build and manage all of your meet entries from one place no matter where you go. We have redesigned it to be faster than ever with new abilities to add new relay teams, auto-build relays, add alternates, drag & drop athletes between legs & even relay teams, and much, much more.
A quick note, Relay Builder is only currently available on Apple devices. The Android version will be available soon. To access the new relay builder functionality, make sure to update the OnDeck application to the most recent version.
Once updated, you will find the Relay Builder under the Events > Events & Meet Entries tab. Tap Entries under an upcoming meet with relays in it and there will be a new tab at the top called RELAYS.
The RELAYS tab contains all of that meet's relay events. To add or edit a relay, tap the event and you will access the new Relay Builder. Here you will find existing relay teams, times, and much more.
One of the first things you will notice are the green and AUTO BUILD buttons at the top. These two features are the core of the Relay Builder, allowing you to manually build a relay with your choice of swimmers and leg preference or auto build with options to find the best athlete times to build fastest relay teams available. Each of these options gives you the flexibility and options to quickly create relay entries while on your mobile device.
Once you have a few teams built, either on the web or from your mobile device, the new interface comes with some great options to edit teams with the ability to drag & drop athletes between legs and even teams. To do this, long press the next to a swimmer, then drag them to the desired slot in a leg or team.
By default this will "swap" the swimmers. If you would like to "push" down the other swimmers, use the to change your preferences.
After you have built your teams, adjusted times, and added alternates, you can Save Changes. If you need to adjust the next relay, simply use the or back out to the Relays tab and find the next event.
We had great feedback from our initial beta testing team and are very excited to see how coaches use the great new feature. If you would like step-by-step instructions for the Relay Builder please visit our TU University lesson where we give you a breakdown of all the great features you will find.
